ScopeDesign and Install a Grid Tied 45.0 kWp Photovoltaic Array, AC Coupled 8.2kWh battery Storage and EV Charging Stations at the RAF Club, Merthyr Tydfil. The PV Inverter and Battery Storage to be in the electrical switch room.PV System Design.The PV system will incorporate the following points within the design.• Inverter must have minimum 10-year warranty• Type 2 surge protection built into the inverter.• Tier 1 Modules with a Module Efficiency greater than 20%• Modules to have a 12 Year Warranty for Materials and Processing.• Modules to have 25-year Power output Warranty (Power Output Tolerance - ≤2% Year 1 & ≤0.55% years 2 to 25)• For ease of maintenance, module level monitoring is to be included with connection to internet.• By isolating the AC supply the DC circuit must reduce below DC touch safe level• Inverter selection must have built in arc fault detection.• In Roof mounting system.• G99 Application for connection.• MCS registration.Battery System DesignThe Battery Storage system will incorporate the following points within the design.• AC coupled system.• Battery to be Floor or Wall Mounted.• Battery Construction – LiFePO4• 10 Year Product Warranty.EV Charge PointThe Electric Vehicle Charge point will incorporate the following in the design.• 2 x Twin 22kW Type 2 Mode 3Charge Point Pedestals.• Built in PEN Fault Detection (No Earth Rod Requirements)• Smart Charge Point Regulations 2021 Compliant.• Smart Charge Point Regulations 2021 Compliant.• OZEV approved.• Warranty – Minimum 3 yearsElectrical InfrastructureConnection to the existing electrical System will be via appropriately sized AC isolators located within the switch room. AC radial supply circuits to isolators will be tested and certified by the onsite electrician.AccessAccess to be supplied by Main Contractor. The scaffold will have edge protection to all areas of the roof where proposed PV array is to be installed.
