Anything about the site is welcome — corrections, questions, requests for a cut of the data we do not currently publish, or press enquiries. What follows is what happens to the most common ones, so you know what to expect before you write.
a figure looks wrong
Tell us the page and the figure. Most numbers here are computed rather than republished, so a wrong one is usually our arithmetic and worth fixing at the source. Values are the exception: gvtcx shows the value as the buyer published it, and publishers do file a contract's whole framework ceiling against every supplier on it, or leave the field at zero. Where that is happening the page says so rather than quietly correcting it, because the published figure is the citable one.
two organisations have been merged that should not be
This is the most useful thing you can report. Most records are joined on an identical normalised name, often with no address test at all; the rest add a matching postcode, allow a close name within one postcode, or follow an identifier the publishers agree on — a company number, but equally a charity, NHS or PPON one. Never on address alone, since a single shared-service postcode covers hundreds of unrelated bodies. It is still wrong sometimes. Every organisation page lists the individual records it was assembled from and the rule that joined each one, so send the page and we can separate them permanently through a curation rule rather than a one-off edit.
a notice should not be published
gvtcx republishes Contracts Finder, Find a Tender, Public Contracts Scotland and Sell2Wales under the Open Government Licence v3.0 and adds nothing to the notices themselves. Withdrawing a notice at the source is the step that matters, because it stops everyone mirroring the feed rather than just us — but it does not remove the notice from here on its own: the ingest only ever adds and updates records, never deletes them. So tell us as well and we will take it down.
data requests
The underlying data is open and you do not need us for it — every source publishes OCDS directly, and the sources page links each one. If you want a cut we do not currently offer on the site, ask. We are more interested in what researchers and journalists are trying to answer than in guessing.
