description
This brief invites suitably qualified environmental consultancies to submit proposals to undertake a contaminated sediment and weir risk assessment at a historic weir structure where sediments are known to be contaminated with lead from former mining activity. The weir is located on a watercourse affected by historic lead mining activity. Sediments impounded upstream of the structure are known or suspected to be contaminated with lead and potentially associated metals. Any future management, modification or removal of the weir must be informed by a robust understanding of sediment contamination, pollution risk, and structural considerations.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=161616.
