Security Services for Ellen Ridge Gypsy & Traveller Site

Ellen Ridge is Newport City Council’s designated permanent Gypsy and Traveller site, comprising of three residential pitches. The site provides a safe, inclusive, and well-managed environment for its residents and their children. It is a large site, with planning permission for a further 32 pitches.Newport City Council is seeking expressions of interest from qualified and experienced security service providers with the objective to prevent unauthorised access, illegal occupation, and to ensure the ongoing safety and well-being of residents.Scope of service:- Up to 24/7 guarding, with the flexibility to adjust coverage hours upon reasonable notice.- Regular perimeter checks- Incident response and reporting- Liaison with Newport City Council and emergency services as required.- Conflict de-escalation and Safeguarding Awareness, ensuring respectful and culturally sensitive engagement with residents.Expressions of Interest should be emailed to procure@newport.gov.uk along with a summary of the security service that can be supplied. Meetings with suppliers maybe required to discuss service provision further tender purposes.
