Approved List for the Delivery of Early Year Placements Welsh Medium Non Maintained Sector

Newport City Council (herein referred to as the Council) invites tenders for the provision of Welsh medium early year’s education (pre-school) places in the non-maintained sector (private day nurseries, playgroup settings, childcare providers). Early years education places are to be provided free of charge to parents for their children aged 3 and 4 years, up until transition into Primary School reception class.The contract will be for a 3-year period with an option to extend for a further 12 months subject to contract period review and the Service Level Agreement to be agreed after appointment.The approved list will be used to ensure that the registered education providers appointed meet the statutory regulations and the standards required by the Council in delivering early year (pre-school) places.The approved list will commence for a 3 year period on 1 September 2025 and expire on 31 August 2028.The successful providers will be appointed to the approved list that commenced on the 1 September 2024 and will expire on the above expiry date and does have an option to extend for 1 year..NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process. (These are Invitation to Tenders open to any registered supplier)- Click on the relevant ITT (itt_115316 available from 12th January 2022) to access the content.- Click the “Express Interest” button in the “Actions” box on the page.- This will move the ITT into your “My ITTs” page. (This is a secure area reserved for your projects only)- Click on the ITT code to access the content3.
