description

The aim of this research is to evaluate the economic and social benefits of mental health Safe Spaces across three settings: Community, Clinical, and Rural. The research should provide robust evidence on cost-effectiveness and value for money, while capturing wider social outcomes. The outcomes from this research will be used to inform local strategic decision-making to assess the potential for increasing the availability of Safe Spaces as a community-based crisis response and/or an alternative to Emergency Departments or psychiatric admission for individuals experiencing mental distress or crisis, where Emergency Department-level clinical intervention is not required.
