description
Provision of experienced multi-skilled operatives to support the installation of High Voltage (HV) cable infrastructure across the TfL network. The service includes installation of HV Cable Route Management Systems (CRMS) and HV power cables weighing approximately 20 kg per metre.
The supplier shall provide suitably qualified and experienced personnel with demonstrated expertise in heavy cable installation activities, including:
Installation and handling of HV cables and associated cable management systems.
Operation of London Underground cable trains.
Delivery, movement, and handling of cable drums weighing up to 5 metric tonnes.
Use of cable winches and associated equipment for cable installation works.
Support for cable pulling, routing, positioning, and associated installation activities in rail and tunnel environments.
An estimated requirement of approximately 800 shifts is anticipated over a 12-month period to support the installation of the first cable section. All resources must be competent, trained, and capable of working safely within the TfL operational environment.
