The contract is for a single supplier to provide Design and Build of a New Formaldehyde Detection System in The Plowright Building as per the User Requirement Specification (URS) for The Pirbright Institute (Pirbright), Ash Road, Pirbright, Surrey, GU24 0NF.

The scope of this contract is to install a new Formaldehyde (HCOH) detection system so it remains available to operate, safe, reliable and will serve the building for a minimum of 15 years.

The scope of works will involve:

Detailed design work for the new HCOH Detection system, as per the URS, including drawings showing the exact location and configuration.
Supply, manufacture, delivery, installation, commissioning and certification of new HCOH Detection System
Confirmation of the method of calibration is to be provided as part of this tender submission.
Management of all subcontractors employed by the supplier to complete these works.
On completion, an O&M is to be submitted which provides details of works from design to completion. The O&M should include all relevant items shown in the PIF and a separate section which provides details of the following:
oBrief Description of the works being carried out.
oProject Risk Assessment.
oKey structural principals.
oHazardous materials used.
oInformation on the future removal of installed plant.
oH&S information about equipment provided for cleaning or maintaining installed plant.
oThe nature, location and markings of significant services.
oInformation and as built drawings of buildings, plant and equipment.
oStep by step activities to carry out the works.
oLesson Learnt, challenges met and how they were overcome.
It is a requirement to consider the on-going maintenance and calibration costs for each supplier. As part of the tender submission, please also provide a service contract quotation in addition to the above scope for a duration of 3 years. The scoring panel will then consider this cost within the scoring matrix to assess each supplier based on the cost of project delivery and the first 3 years servicing.
oIt must be noted that the service contract will not be purchased as part of this project and is only intended to allow the scoring team to consider the on-going costs.
