Student Laundry Services

1. Introduction

The University of Bristol is seeking to appoint a supplier who can provide and manage a Launderette Vending Machine Service for the University. The service should be delivered via modern resource & energy efficient machines that have minimal impact on the environment, enhance the student experience and offer value for money.

Currently there are 31 washing machines, 31 washer/ dryer machines and 26 dryers, located in various university residences. The attached Appendix A gives details on the University's current vending machine locations, number of students and the number of machines in that location.

Tenderers should note that the launderettes are open all year round and used mainly by residential students. However, over the summer months, June - August, when students are generally fewer in number and not on campus, the residencies maybe let to summer students who may also access the launderette.

Tenderers should also note that during the life of the contract the number, location and types of vending machines may alter, therefore, tenderers must be flexible to meet changing requirements.
