description
The Food and Drink sector in Wales is varied, with many roles that contribute to the success of the industry in Wales. We are aware that certain sectors within the industry such as Butchery, Seafood and Food Technology have been finding it difficult to recruit and retain new people to pursue careers in these areas for a number of years, and we are keen to ascertain the current situation in Wales across all of the sectors within the Food and Drink industry. In establishing what the current issues are we can then use data to help focus our efforts, prioritising the sectors in order of urgency. We are looking for an individual or a company to undertake desk-based and face to face research to identify the current and future skills gaps within the Food and Drink Industry in Wales, - highlighting the reasons why the skills gaps exist by discussing with leaders within the sector, including businesses and training providers, ascertaining whether it is due to lack of interest in a specific part of the sector, if there are a lack of opportunities, are there geographical trends etc.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=137487.The buyer has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via the Postbox facility.
