***CONTRACT AWARD NOTICE***TfW are looking to appoint a suitable contractor to undertake the works set out in the Tender documents and generally described below.Works Required – Area 1Remove plastic spirals and protection from trees and remove from site for recycling when trees are above mammal browsing height.Remove and replace dead/diseased trees and dispose of offsite/create habitat pilesCutting grassland throughout plantation area. Cutting by hand held strimmer only.Clearing of all cut vegetation by hand raking, including for creating composting heaps along plantation fence lines at height no greater than 600mm and width no greater than 1mApplication of herbicide around planted trees as per specificationCoppice 2 x 0.5 ha coupes areas to be identified within plantationMonitor dormouse boxes, by replacement of existing or new installations at locations to be provided within adjacent Routs WoodInstallation of kissing gates at set locations to fence linesManagement of invasive weed speciesLocation 2 – Area 2 – Llanwern Woodland Planting AreaWorks required – Area 2Remove and replace dead/diseased trees and dispose of offsite/on site to create habitat pilesCutting of grassland throughout plantation area.
