The Community Benefits included in this contract are:Bron Afon is committed to delivering ‘Community Benefits’ from its procurement activities.Community benefits covers a wide range of activities and Bron Afon asks its Contractors to understand and deliver the activities which creates the most value to our communities, these can include:• Creating and maximising local opportunities within Torfaen.• Training and recruitment opportunities for the long term economically inactive (long term economically inactive means those not been in paid employment in the last 3 months immediately prior to the date of this invitation)• Volunteering days• Landscaping/Building Services support to regenerate for communal areas• Support for local youth groups and other community groups• Sponsoring of mini sporting tournament or event• Community newsletters advising on impact of service delivery• Contributions to education such as work placements for secondary-school children and college students, landscaping/building services support to regenerate for school playgrounds• Utilise local supply chains.The buyer considers that this contract is suitable for consortia bidding.
