The Blue Badge Scheme provides eligible people parking concessions that remove barriers to accessing services and facilities. In Wales local authorities issue approximately 67,000 badges per year.Welsh Government is looking for an organisation to provide an independent advisory service to local authorities to enable them to process discretionary applications for Blue Badges from people with cognitive impairments who are unable to evidence their level of need.To support local authorities in processing discretionary applications made under the mobility criteria where the local authority is unable to make a determination.To support local authorities in processing discretionary applications made under the temporary mobility criteria where the local authority is unable to make a determination.
