description
To explore the NZPSBS’s potential as a delivery mechanism for Just Transition outcomes, the Scottish Government is evaluating the application of this standard to retrofit projects funded through the Green Public Sector Estate Decarbonisation Scheme (GPSEDS). This includes using two case studies of recently funded projects to demonstrate how the standard supports the delivery of just transition co-benefits (such as local sourcing, sustainable practices, and community engagement) alongside carbon reduction outcomes. This work will inform future funding decisions and contribute to our just transition planning for the Built Environment and Construction sectors.
