description

Museums Galleries Scotland (MGS) is looking to source a bank of experienced facilitators to deliver anti-ableism workshops as part of the Delivering Change project.

The workshops form part of the Museum Transformers and Museum Activists programmes which run from approximately April 2024 to December 2026. The facilitators will work with participants from 20 Museum Transformer organisations and approximately 100 Museum Activists individuals to facilitate a series of online or in-person participatory anti-ableism workshops tailored to the museum sector. Please note that the design of workshop content does not form part of this contract as the series is currently being developed by Visible Inclusive Accessibility (VIA). The workshops will be designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to explore issues relating to ableism within the museum sector, as well as providing tools and action plans for participants to critically explore how their own institutions could be perpetuating systemic ableism.
