description
The Service Provider’s role is to provide legal services, as and when called upon by Scottish Government, to supplement the ongoing legal services provided by the Scottish Government Legal Department (SGLD) to the Scottish Government’s response to the Scottish and UK public inquiries into the handling of Covid-19. At the tendering stage the Terms of Reference of neither public inquiries are known, nor the intentions of both inquiry teams as to information and evidence that they require from the Scottish Government. However, it is expected that the Service Provider will be required in the short term to assist in the preparation of statements from key SG staff for the purpose of assisting the preparation within SG of descriptions and narratives about key decision making during the handling of the response to the pandemic.
