Wigan Council require a training provider to provide Health and Safety training programmes to Council staff as part of the corporate training and development programme for 2026/27. The programme includes the following subjects, but this list is not exhausted:

- Control of Substance Hazardous to Health
- De-escalation and breakaway techniques
- Food Hygiene Level 2
- Manual handling of equipment
- Managing Health and Safety Level 3
- Safe moving and handling of heavy loads
- Safe use of steps and ladders

- Safe handling of sharps
