description

This is a notice only. The Royal Navy is hosting a launch event for the Skills & Innovation Hub that will be held as part of the Maritime Power demonstrations on the 19th of March 2025 at HM Naval Base Portsmouth (HMNBP) to which selected organisations across the areas of Funding, SMEs, Industry and Academia will be invited. This is the first in a series of engagements, and there will be no prejudice against those who do not attend this launch event in terms of participation or attending other events.

Overview – The Challenge

There is currently a need to increase provision and investment in developing the skills and innovation required to meet the challenges and opportunities of delivering the leading-edge Royal Navy the UK requires for safety and prosperity. The participation of Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Academia, and Industry alongside alternative funding sources are needed in order to rapidly scale regional skills provision and innovation for the benefit of Maritime Defence.
