The Lower Thames Crossing (LTC) is a significant infrastructure project designed to address congestion and pollution at the Dartford Crossing, the only road crossing of the River Thames east of London. The project includes the construction of twin-bore tunnels and a dual carriageway linking the M25 at Junctions 28 and 30 to the A2, east of Gravesend.

An Asbestos Removal Contractor is required for the Lower Thames Crossing - Kent Roads. These works are likely to be required from Autumn 2025 following survey and ground investigation works.

The work consists of the following elements:

  • Identification, safe removal and disposal of asbestos containing materials in accordance with HSE regulations.

Contractors must have a licence from HSE for removal and disposal of asbestos and carry ISO 9001 certification.

The operatives involved in the works shall be Competent with relevant qualifications and competency cards (Lantra/CSCS) and have a Highway Passport.
