LLDC is seeking to commission a single provider who can deliver an Introduction to Construction Training Course. The target audience for this Introduction to Construction Training will be new entrants to the industry with little or no previous work experience in the sector and no formal qualifications. We will be looking to target young people over 18 years of age resident in one of the four growth boroughs of Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets or Waltham Forest.
The provider will deliver the City & Guilds 6219 Level 1 Certificate in Construction Skills offering agreed skills delivery from the following units across four phases:
Phase 1: Generic Units, Bricklaying, Joinery
Phase 2: Wall & Floor Tiling, Construction, Operations, Painting & Decorating Phase 3: Carpentry
Phase 4: Plastering, Plumbing, Electrical Industry accreditation
The provider will deliver the entry Level 1 Award Health and Safety in a Construction Environment and ensure candidates complete the test required for the CSCS green labourer’s card.
Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs).
