| 3.1 | INTRODUCTION |
| 3.1.1 | Sheffield City Council provides a Food Service to deliver Official Controls and meet other statutory duties and functions under food hygiene and safety legislation. |
| 3.1.2 | The authority's Food Service Plan and food inspection programmes runs from 1st April to 31st March. For the current year, ending 31st March, 2020 there is a batch of approximately 500 inspections that need to be inspected. |
| 3.1.3 | The Services to be tendered will consist of programmed food hygiene inspections in Commercial Food Premises. |
| 3.1.4 | The Council will manage and maintain its own back office administration of the service in-house. This will include the management and allocation of files (paper and/or electronic), relevant documentation/paperwork, input of inspection ratings onto the internal database. The Council will manage and maintain the enforcement areas of the Service. |
| 3.1.5 | The Contractor will be required to meet the Councils contract requirements on quality standards, performance management and efficiency. |
| 3.1.6 | The Contractor will be required to cooperate with the Council to improve efficiencies and fulfil commitments to continual service development and improvement, including flexible mobile working solutions. |
