Concession Contract to Develop a Quality Mark, to be known as 'Millie’s Mark', for paediatric first aid training in nurseries.

The Department for Education (The Department) is inviting bids from suppliers in order to procure through a Concession Contract , the development, management, monitoring and promotion of a Quality Mark for paediatric first aid training in nurseries. Nurseries can apply for the Quality Mark if they meet criteria endorsed by the Department and can provide evidence that demonstrates all their staff hold a current paediatric first aid certificate.

Please note:

Estimated value: The concession contract will allow the successful bidder (working in conjunction with Millie’s Trust) to commercially exploit the Mark, for the duration of the contract, hereby recovering costs and making a return, by charging nursery providers an administrative fee (to be agreed) on application for the Mark. This one-off fee will cover the application and the three-year-award duration of the Mark. While any income revenues will be at the risk of the successful supplier, the Department will, provide up to £75,000 (including any VAT that may be applicable) for the initial 6-month development phase of the Mark.
