The key aims of the Rapid Engineering Modelling Ver 2 ( to SGAR3/5) is to deliver greater and more efficient project level designs through:

  • Highways England taking greater control of standardised modular design development
  • Combined Driven/Drone based Surveying to create an accurate Digital Terrain Map Based asset platform
  • Rules Based Approach to Design Development derived from the principles demonstrated through the Ops Concept works
  • Reduction in the level of bespoke design resulting in increased costs due to varied design solutions in construction
  • Increased safety through greater level of consistency of working practises, methods and procedures.
