GB-Colchester: Public Realm

Colchester Borough Council invites consultants to tender a submission to work with the Council on an exciting public realm and branding project which will help create a major sports and leisure destination on the northern fringe of Colchester in Essex. We need specialist skills, bringing innovation, experience and practicality to create an identity and a strong public realm. The requirements include costed and practical iconic hard and soft sustainable landscaping, artwork and installations, way marking, street furniture, boundaries, landmarks, lighting, sounds, creation and use of water, branding and promotion with logo, straplines, and social media recommendations. Together the proposals will take forward the existing Master Plan ideas, and will unite and attract custom to this new leisure and sporting quarter.

The study will contribute to the landscape proposals that will be part of the planning application submission next summer, and to the reserved matters applications for sites on the south side of the A12 early next year.

We particularly invite partnerships between consultancies and also where they can introduce ideas from outside the UK in order to bring forward the right creative and practical mix based on experience and achievements. We invite you to respond to this brief
