BEIS is responsible for leading the Government response to a wide range of incidents affecting key national services that are vital to public safety and the economy. All emergency responders within BEIS are offered essential training to enable them to confidently develop situational awareness during an incident; carry out risk assessments; track and record actions, decisions and events; and ensure all relevant information is fed upward to Ministers, COBR and industry. This contract is for the provision of training through a mix of foundation-level seminars; detailed sector specific and practical procedure training; and simulated emergency training exercises.
