description

The DVLA requires a CA GEN Developer specialist to undertake development work on the DVLA central Vehicles Management System (VSS).

The work will include technical analysis, low level design, production and unit code testing of code, using CA GEN.

Further work will entail UNIX scripting for data extraction and data management as well as working with complex bacth scheduling systems.

The specialist will be allocated to specific projects including, but not limited to, changes to calculation and collection of Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) along with making other technical changes in accordance with business requirements and technical solutions.

The requirements and technical solutions will be supported by DVLA's Business Analysts and Technical Architects.

The proposed duration of the contract is for 12 months, with the option to extend for a further 12 months. The charging mechanism for the contract will be based on time and materials.
