Architect for Pedro Street Redevelopment Project

You are invited to express your interest in the provision of Architect Services for Pedro Street as part of the London Borough of Hackney's Housing Redevelopment Programme. This is an exciting opportunity for firms to design housing for a 0.07 Ha site in Lower Clapton in Hackney presently occupied by a disused boiler house for the Clapton Park Estate. The draft documents for the Brief and ITT are provided at this time to enable firms to consider fully their interest in this work. The proposed contract is GC/Works/5 (1998) General Conditions for the Appointment of a Consultant (with LB of Hackney amendments). This tender will be administered via an e-procurement system called ProContract. Suppliers must be registered on the system in order to access the documentation and submit a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire. We recognise that this is a low- value contract which would normally be completed in one-stage, however, that would require many firms to produce a concept design, describe their architectural approach to the design, external space, landscaping, and consultation and establishing a full design team. We felt that would be unfair to many firms and so have opted for a two-stage process.

Bidders are advised of a change to this information. The design team service cost range is from £60k lowest to £130k highest.
