description
This opportunity will provide a Trauma-Informed approach to the development and delivery of services ensuring that they can sustainably meet the needs of and improve outcomes for Children and Young People in Newcastle. The service will have a particular focus on those at risk of harm and who present with significant vulnerabilities.
This service will build on and extend our current provision which seeks to meet the needs of Children and Young People in in-house residential care. The service will grow and embed a trauma informed approach across all services that touch the lives of Children and Young People in Newcastle with the objective of better understanding trauma and the impact that it can have on young people's lives, their outcomes and their relationships with others.
The service will support Children, Young People, and families who are in contact with children's social care services particularly those who are most vulnerable and most at risk to help them overcome the adversity that they have experienced.
