This notice is to confirm the award of contract for Explosives Detection Dogs (EDD) training aids via the C16829 EDD Training Aids Framework - Lots 2-5.

EDD training aids are controlled materials used to train, test and assure explosive detection dogs by exposing them to relevant explosive-related odours in a safe and consistent way.

DfT are responsible for the assurance of these aids to help maintain effective detection capability for aviation and wider protective security.

The EDD training kits provide approved training and testing materials that enable ongoing training, validation, assurance and certification activities, thereby providing evidence of continued operational effectiveness.
