description
Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust is looking to carry out a preliminary market engagement exercise to establish solutions that are currently available in the market place for the provision of a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure solution comprising of all computer equipment, software, storage and implementation services necessary to support up to 200 concurrent multi-user clinical desktop sessions.
Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust recognise that implementation of VDI in isolation will not provide a solution to the challenges faced in provisioning IT Services in fast-paced clinical environments and that a more comprehensive, multi-layered approach to presenting end user computing services is required.
The Trust has identified key challenges that should be addressed and resolved through the implementation of a multi-layered approach to deliver end user computing.
All communication shall be submitted via www.nhssourcing.co.uk - project_20512 - RFI - Request for Information - Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) .
Any Questions relating to the project will be via the online messaging facility provided on the NHS Sourcing Portal. The onus is on potential providers to review regularly all the information published on the Portal in relation to this project.
Please note: This exercise is not part of any pre-qualification, selection process or bid evaluation. It is intended as an awareness, communication and information gathering exercise offering an opportunity for potential providers to supply information on their solution. This therefore does not represent a commitment from Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust to award a contract or an invite to tender to any provider that expresses an interest in this market engagement exercise. At this stage Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust are in the process of developing a strategy for procuring the aforementioned solution.
