description
WWF is a science-based organisation and wishes to base its actions on the best available and up-to-date evidence. While emission reporting has existed for many years, it could still be considered in an early stage of development. Limited attention has been given to the development of a universal measurement system, and those that have existed have tended to lack credibility. Methodologies differ across sectors and companies, creating sets of figures which are meaningless in isolation.
To this end, WWF wishes to contract a suitably experienced party that can co-ordinate a research paper that assesses the current capabilities (or lack thereof) of emission reporting in the UK. This paper will be used to create awareness and drive system change in the area(s) of Greenhouse Gas reporting.
The project will need to be completed by end of January 2020. WWF will be available to help throughout in order to develop a strong methodological approach within a short timeframe. For further information please refer to the attached Expression of Interest document. Proposals should be submitted by email by Midday, 29th November 2019 to Seán Mallon, Climate Change Specialist, WWF-UK: smallon@wwf.org.uk.
