Northamptonshire County Council- New Leaving Care Provision Provider Event 2017

Northamptonshire County Council is developing its leaving care offer to Looked after young people with a new and exciting development of 20 flats for leaving care young people aged 16 -21 years in the centre of Northampton. Pending Cabinet approval on 14th February 2017 this service will go out to tender late February 2017 and we are keen to tell all potential providers about this new opportunity.

The provision will offer leaving care young people accommodation, but also much more, there will be an element of preventing young people on the edge of care becoming looked after as well and including work with young people on leaving the accommodation and moving on their own tenancies and providing "staying Close" arrangement for young people in line with the Governments "keep on Caring Strategy". We are also wanting to look at how the Personal Advisor role can be included within such provision and are keen to have this included within the specification for this tender.
