description
This notice refers to a direct award of an interim contract to ensure continuity of essential health services to the local population. Development work needs to be undertaken to ensure that the focus and delivery of the Whole Systems Integrated Care programme is providing high quality care for patients at the best value. It is also recognized that the delivery of this programme is likely to be integral to the Integrated Care Partnership developments in Harrow. In addition, Harrow CCG has agreed that an independent review of the Whole Systems Integrated Care programme is needed, to fully understand the service that is provided now across a range of providers, and the service that we need to be delivered in the future.
It is anticipated that the review and subsequent redesign work is likely to take 6 months. NHS Harrow CCG is therefore awarding an INTERIM contract to the incumbent for an 8 month period with the CCG reserving the option to extend this for up to a further 6 months as may be required to complete any potential process to award a new contract and to allow for a reasonable mobilisation period. This interim contract will ensure continuity of the services and enable the CCG to continue to meet its commissioning responsibilities in relation to securing services of high quality and high value.
