description

Further Competition from the Electronic Market Place for the Provision of Adult Education, Training, Employment & Lifelong Learning.

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the "Council") wishes to establish a programme of services with between six (6) and ten (10) suitable Delivery Partners for Adult Learning in Kirklees.

Adult Learning Kirklees is part of the Employment and Skills Service and aims to develop a culture of lifelong learning in the district. We want Kirklees to be a place where the importance of learning throughout life is deep-rooted. Kirklees is a designated UNESCO Town of Learning, reflecting the Council's commitment to lifelong learning as a central driver of inclusive economic growth, social wellbeing and community resilience. This status underscores the ambition for Kirklees to be a place where learning is embedded throughout life, accessible to all, and targeted particularly at those facing the greatest barriers.

Partners will work with residents to develop high quality learning opportunities which meet needs across the different stages and spheres of adult life, which contribute to economic growth, and which promote resilience, health, confidence and increased aspiration and inclusion for all.
