National Highways is looking to set up a contract between August 2023 and March 2024 to measure ammonia (NH3) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) concentrations to:

-Evaluate the changes in pollutant concentrations with increased distance from the roadside in grassland and woodland environments.
-Evaluate whether a tree belt sited in close proximity to the road could provide additional reductions in NH3 concentrations.
