Ventilation System Maintenance Services

Within Mid Essex Hospital Services (MEHT) as with any other healthcare organisation ventilation is used extensively to provide a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.

More specialised ventilation is provided in areas such as operating departments, critical care areas and isolation facilities for primary patient treatment.

It is the responsibility of the Estates and Facilities team to ensure that inspection, service and maintenance activities are carried out safely, at the correct intervals and without hazard to staff, patients or members of the public.

In line with regulations, the Critical Ventilation systems Verification shall be undertaken annually, this is out of scope of this tender and will be managed under a separate contract.

This contract shall form the basis for a rolling contract over 3 years with the option for each party to terminate with three (3) months’ notice. At the end of the 3 year period, then the contract will be retendered in line with Trust policy.
