Provision of Fixed Wire Testing Services

Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust manages and operates a number of healthcare sites and buildings for the provision of clinical services. By their nature, these buildings offer a high level of access to the general public.

A significant element of the premises from which the Trust operates is the PFI building at Broomfield Hospital. Responsibility for the condition and maintenance of this building rests with the Trust’s PFI partner and are out of scope for this requirement

Activities within the remaining buildings operated by the Trust (the “Retained Estate”) are controlled by the Trust’s Estates Department and are in scope for this requirement

Mid Essex Heath Trust has a legal requirement to periodically inspect, test, record and issue results for all electrical installations within the retained estate.

In line with regulations, the fixed wire testing shall be undertaken every 5 years for each Distribution Board/Circuit.

This contract shall form the basis for a rolling contract over 3 years. At the end of the 3 year period, then the contract will be retendered in line with Trust policy.
