description
This project includes the planning, design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of a resilient data cable link and a fire signal cable from Norman Shaw North (NSN) to 53Parliament Street. The data link will consist of a blown fibre optic cable connecting room B6 in Norman Shaw North with the 4th floor Comms room in 53 Parliament Street, and the fire signal cable will be a fire rated fibre optic cable from B6 in Norman Shaw North to the lower ground floor Comms room in 53 Parliament Street. From room B6 to the fourth floor Comms room, the two cables will follow the same route.
The route will include existing and new underground ducts and draw pits. Part of the route is through Richmond House and 54 Parliament Street, which are Department of Health demise.
