description

Since the end of Op HERRICK, due to a historic lack of Royal Signal Corps capacity (11 Sig Bde and Fd Army commitments), the Mission Specific Training Operational Communications Information System (MST OpCIS) used by MTMC has been delivered through ad-hoc commercial arrangement utilising the Defence Digital ACII Contract.

When conducting Mission Specific Training (MST) exercises, Units should train with the Royal Signals (R SIGNALS) who deliver OpCIS that would be used on Operations, however insufficient R SIGNALS capacity has forced CTG to simulate the system through a contracted solution. This contracted solution, through Defence Digital ACII will expire on 31 March 2021 and there remains no capacity for R SIGNALS to replace it.

The requirement is to replicate the Royal Signals delivered OpCIS functionality (operational applications, office software, email connectivity and network storage) in support of Mission Specific Training. The service must be completely managed and supported by a service provider.
