description

Funding has been made available from DEFRA so that LLFAs can increase their coverage of local detailed surface water mapping in priority areas, increasing their understanding of the flood risk from surface water. This will help LLFAs fulfil their statutory duties through improved local flood risk management in incidents and for long term planning. The new mapping will enable us to improve the quality of the national Risk of Flooding from Surface Water maps which we publish on gov.uk, to raise public awareness of flood risk and contribute to a better national understanding of the scale of surface water flood risk. Buckinghamshire County Council made a bid into this funding call and were successful for the locations for Aylesbury and Chesham
