Falmouth Exeter Plus is proposing to seek a partner to provide the provision of solar power to the Penryn campus.
The scheme is to be installed and completed by March 2017 and Falmouth Exeter Plus will be entering into discussions with potential bidders within the next 3 months.
- I.The project proposal should be fully inclusive of supply, installation and all off-site works (up to physical connection to campus sub- station).
- II.The proposed solar farm should be located within a one mile radius of the Penryn Campus (see map below)
- III.The system should generate a minimum of 500kWp and a maximum of 750kWp.
- IV.The proposal should be non-exclusive (and Falmouth Exeter plus would hold the rights to buy PV from other providers)
- V.The partner should be able to demonstrate saving efficiencies and carbon benefits compared with rates from the current energy provider.
- VI.Falmouth Exeter Plus would require the partner to have a proven track record of completing solar farm projects.
Parties wishing to take part in this Market Testing exercise are asked to submit an initial 3 page document that provides the following:
| • | A maximum of 3 projects which are at least a similar scale and scope to the requirements of the University’s opportunity. |
| • | Your understanding of, and ability to meet, the requirements of the brief and of the goals and potential risks of the project. |
| • | Any other information you feel would be of interest to the University, in order to able it to better understand the market. |
Information submitted must be no longer than 3 sides of A4 and be submitted via the In-Tend portal by midday on Friday 11th March 2016 at 12:00.
Due to tight timescales Falmouth Exeter Plus will not be holding any face to face sessions with suppliers as part of this Market Testing exercise so please ensure that information provided answers all areas of interest the University has specified.
Please note that suppliers who do not wish to participate in the Market Testing process will be still able to express their interest in participating in the corresponding procurement opportunity when the Contract Notice is published (currently anticipated to be in March 2016). Suppliers will suffer no prejudice for not participating in the market testing process.
Additional information: All market testing/tender activity between the University and suppliers/bidders will be conducted via In-Tend (Falmouth Exeter Plus e-tendering portal) https://in-tendhost.co.uk/universityofexeter/aspx/Tenders/Current , including all future tender related correspondence.
