Trafford Council are seeking to identify up to 60 D2A beds in Trafford, up to 36 of these should be residential and up to 24 should be nursing beds. All homes should be able to accommodate people with dementia. The D2A placement will enable a period of assessment to take place to determine the ongoing care needs of the person. The best outcome is for a person to be able to return to a community setting with the right care in place.
