WP3774 Water Hygiene Services

The Council wishes to procure a suitably skilled and appropriately qualified contractor to deliver Walsall Council's Water Hygiene Services, with the expertise to deliver a comprehensive Water Management Service which will include; water testing, pre-planned servicing and maintenance, reactive response and minor works services.

Services will be delivered to Walsall Council owned and managed properties.

The contractor must be a member of The Legionella Control Association by the start of the contract and must be registered to provide the following services:

• oRisk Assessment
• oChemical water treatment services
• oChemicals
• oDosing & control systems
• oCleaning & Disinfection
• oPlant & Equipment - Supply & Refurbishments
• oInstallation
• oCooling Equipment
• oFilters

It is also preferred that contractors can offer Facilities Management under The Legionella Control Association; however, contractors not able to offer this service will still be considered for the award of the contract.

The Council is looking to appoint one (1) supplier for this Contract.

The procurement process being used is an Open process. This process has been advertised in the Find a Tender Service and will be completed in compliance with The Public Contract Regulations 2015 with reference to The Public Procurement (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020.

The Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 will apply to this procurement. All bidders will be asked to respond to the non-price criteria question set out in ITT Section C.

The contract will commence on 1 April 2022, for an initial three year period. There are options to extend the contract period for up to two 12 month periods, subject to satisfactory performance, business need and mutual agreement.

The deadline for tender submissions is Tuesday 15 February 2022 at 12:00 midday.
