description
Suffolk County Council, in partnership with District and Borough Councils in Suffolk will be seeking to procure a new Home Improvement Agency contract. The purpose of the contract will be to deliver a range of services that will enable disabled, elderly and vulnerable people to continue to live in their own homes or to find alternative housing that enables them to continue to be independent of residential care. We have developed a new vision for the service which seeks to go beyond the processing of grants and the overseeing of major adaptations and includes housing advice, minor adaptations at an early stage, support to access alternative funding other than Disabilities Facilities Grants (DFG) and a handypersons service. We would also like providers to consider ways in which they could generate income from the service to reduce costs to the public purse.
The contract duration is 5 years with an option to extend for up to 24 months
Additional information: NUTS code UKH14 Electronic invoicing will be accepted
‘Suffolk County Council incorporates a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period from the point at which information on the award of contract is communicated to the tenderers. This period allows unsuccessful tenderers to seek further debriefing from the contracting authority before the contract is entered into.
If an appeal regarding the award of contract has not been successfully resolved: The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 as amended provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or at risk of harm by a breach of the rules, to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland). Any such action must be brought promptly.’
