Community Ophthalmology - Brent

NHS Brent CCG would like to invite expressions of interest from suitably experienced and capable providers in the provision of a Community Ophthalmology Service for patients across Brent.

There is an existing Community Ophthalmology Service in place which will reach the end of its contract term by late September 2019 which the CCG would like to re-commission. If a competitive procurement process were to take place, this will likely commence by February 2019.

Documents attached provide details of the scope of the service - a draft Service Specification and an accompanying Memorandum of Information providing the context for this service.

Whilst subject to change, the CCG's current intention is to offer a contract for 3 years (with the option to extend this by up to 2 years), with a new service commencing from late September 2019. The financial value of the contract is circa £1.4m per year.

To express your interest you are invited to complete the attached Market Engagement Questionnaire and return this by 12 noon, Monday 31st January 2019. Additional information: Whilst there is no obligation to participate through this engagement exercise, a lack of response may be used by NHS Brent CCG as evidence of a lack of market interest. Your response is therefore important to inform the CCG what the most appropriate process might be to establish a new a new contract. CONFIRMATION OF YOUR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST IS THEREFORE IMPORTANT.
