GB-London: Silvocea Way Works

Silvocea Way sits within LB Tower Hamlets (LBTH) and is key Leaway project, linking the route to East India Dock Basin and Trinity Buoy Wharf with Poplar and Aberfeldy. It is an existing riverside walkway along the west of the river Lea, , with brick paving and a number of trees. .

The LLDC is seeking to procure a landscaping contractor. The works include new planting, trees, wayfinding, benches and some playable timber elements, as well as the replacement of some damaged paving with grassed areas.

As part of the contract there is a requirement to maintain the new trees for 3 years from completion

The proposed programme is November 2015 to February 2016. (Final dates to be agreed.)

The LLDC intends to initiate a tender exercise mid August approximately. Before a formal procurement process is initiated the LLDC would like to invite the market to express and interest by emailing nieveschilderley@londonlegacy.co.uk

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender.
