description
The Comparative Analysis of Social Spaces in Post-Industrial Nations (CASSPIN) project is a large-scale research project funded by the European Research Council under the auspices of the Horizon 2020 programme.
The initial phase of the project involved working on publicly-available data sources for a wide range of nations. The second phase will involve two surveys: one in Germany and one in the United States. This is being designed by the project team, but the delivery of the questionnaire and processing of data is the subject of the tender.
The target sample size for each nation is 3,000, and both surveys will each comprise around 70 questions of varying form (a sample is provided). The sampling procedure should be fully random, so that all members of the population over 18 have an equal probability of being selected. The exception is that 20 percent of the Germany sample is to be gathered from Berlin, and 20 percent of the US sample is to be gathered from Chicago, to facilitate organising follow-up interviews.
The successful service provider is required to deliver the survey and collect the two samples. Once the data is collected, it is to be cleaned and supplied to the CASSPIN project lead.
