description

The requirement is for an Integrated RDE–GDE Electrochemical Testing System to fill a critical capability gap for electrochemistry research at Swansea. No such system is currently available within the Department of Chemical Engineering or the wider Faculty, despite more than seven active academics working intensively in electrochemical energy systems. This integrated system combines a Rotating Disk Electrode (RDE) with a Gas Diffusion Electrode (GDE) test cell, enabling both fundamental kinetic studies and practical, industrially relevant testing. It will directly support projects in electrocatalysis and batteries, including hydrogen evolution, oxygen, CO₂ and nitrate reduction, redox flow batteries, and sodium-ion batteries.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
