Annually, the Wales Audit Office recruit approximately 10 - 12 graduate trainees. These trainees are recruited to train as Chartered Accounts (ACA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants England AND Wales (ICAEW) over a four-year period.The Wales Audit Office recognises that in training for an accountancy qualification we are equipping trainees to have excellent technical accounting skills. But the balance of skills needed as finance leaders also includes soft skills such as leadership, emotional intelligence and negotiation and persuasion.The Wales Audit Office is looking to appoint a single provider for a 48 month (4-year period) to deliver a modular training programme to cover key soft skills leading to a Level 3 Institute of Leadership and Management training. Subject to agreement the contract may be extended by 2 x 12 month increments to a maximum contract duration of 6 years.
