Cyngor Gwynedd is preparing to go out to tender to expand and upgrade and to include a fully comprehensive maintenance contract for its existing IP wireless CCTV system.Cyngor Gwynedd will be inviting tenders from suitably qualified contractors to undertake the work of expanding and upgrading its IP wireless CCTV system in all public spaces and works depot. The system is an IP high-definition wireless camera system. Wireless technology is used to send images from cameras back to a specific point where all data is recorded. The data is then sent via the PSBA network to our CCTV control room. North Wales Police have access to Cyngor Gwynedd’s public space cameras via a wireless link to four local police stations. In all existing public space locations (Bangor, Caernarfon, Pwllheli, Porthmadog and Bethesda) the system is housed on purpose-built CCTV columns or on street lighting columns.Some key competencies the successful contractor must have include, but are not limited to:• NPPV Level 3 vetting• Previous experience of operating and maintaining Instek / Veracity / Coldstore / N X Witness recording equipment and softwareThe contract will be for a period of 5 years (3+1+1)The tender will be published on etenderwales, and the contract notice will be sent via Sell2Wales when the tender is live.It is expected the tender will be published in the next 4 weeks.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=140302.
